Inter Milan’s plan B lined-up amid reports of new £60m-plus offer for Man United’s Romelu Lukaku

Inter Milan & Man United’s Romelu Lukaku

Sky Sports on Tuesday have reported that Inter Milan are lining up a fresh bid for Man United’s Romelu Lukaku.

The UK broadcaster believes that Inter will offer Man United 60 million pounds plus add-ons for the Belgian international.

However, will Man United accept Inter’s proposal?

Sky Sports note the following on the possible deal structure presented to the Red Devils:

Last week, United told Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio that they want more than the £79m paid to Everton for the Belgian striker in 2017.

The new offer is an improvement on Inter’s initial two-year loan request with instalments of £9m, £27m and £27m to be paid in consecutive years.

Inter Milan have a plan B lined-up

According to the Corriere dello Sport on Tuesday, Inter are preparing to miss out on signing Lukaku.

While the Belgian remains Antonio Conte’s top target, Atalanta forward Duvan Zapata could be signed instead.

28-year-old Zapata is under contract at Atalanta until 2020.

Last season, the Colombian scored 23 goals in 37 Serie A matches, as well as chipping in with seven assists.

Elsewhere, the Gazzetta dello Sport start a stop-watch for Inter’s possible Lukaku deal.

The Italian pink paper believe that Inter will try to sign Lukaku for the next seven days, but after that they’ll move onto other targets.
