Inter Milan looking to sign Manchester United’s Ashley Young

What a bizarre transfer rumour

Inter Milan are said to be exploring the possibility of signing Manchester United’s Ashley Young when his contract expires this summer.

The Englishman is a very different player to the one that once played on the wing for Aston Villa and early on at United.

The player is now a very versatile option and has been played both at left-back and right-back over the past 12 months.

While you would have expected him to be very poor in those positions, he has actually been relatively solid.

Though, Man United could lose him this summer.

With his deal set to expire, the club will be looking to tie him down to a new deal.

However, according to reports on Wednesday, they face competition from an unlikely source.

Inter Milan vs Manchester United

That is because according to the Daily Mirror, Inter Milan are looking to speak to the player.

The player can now speak to any club about a potential move in the summer and even sign a pre-agreement contract.

Though, Manchester United are looking to tie the player down to another a new 12-month deal when his deal expires.

However, according to the Mirror, Inter Milan will look to offer him a two-year deal.

Not only that, the club are supposedly hoping the lure of Champions League football could get a deal done.

The likelihood of Man United securing a top-four finish this season are extremely slim while Inter’s chances are much higher.

It’s certainly a strange deal, but we’ve all seen stranger things happen in the transfer window.
