Alexis Sanchez

Inter Milan: Alexis Sanchez loan deal is plan A, Tottenham old-boy Fernando Llorente is plan B – Romano

Inter Milan & Man United’s Alexis Sanchez

Once again this Sunday, Alexis Sanchez’s ongoing future at Man United is in doubt.

Sanchez has only scored three Premier League goals for Man United since he joined from Arsenal.

Considering the fact that the Chilean earns around half a million pounds a week at Old Trafford, that return is pitiful.

On Sunday in the Observer, Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano confirms that Inter Milan are keen on signing Alexis this summer.

Inter hope to land the forward on a loan deal. The Observer reports:

Internazionale are hoping to sign Alexis Sánchez on a season-long loan and are confident of agreeing a deal with Manchester United.

The striker turned down a move to Roma last week, with United reported to have offered to cover a large proportion of his £300,000-a-week wages.

The assumption is that Man United will need to contribute a significant amount of Sanchez’s wages in order to shift the South American out of Old Trafford.

Would Alexis Sanchez agree to joining Inter?

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Alexis Sanchez has given his “OK” to moving to the San Siro.

In addition, the player’s agent is currently in England for talks about the potential transfer.

For the record, the 30-year-old is under contract at Old Trafford until 2022.

Tottenham old-boy Fernando Llorente is plan B

However, Inter aren’t putting all their eggs in the Alexis Sanchez basket.

That’s after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claimed that Sanchez would stay at Old Trafford in his press conference before Monday’s Premeir League clash against Wolves.

Widening their options, Inter could turn to former Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente, instead.

Llorente is a free agent after his contract at Spurs expired. Fabrizio Romano reports:

Fernando Llorente – currently without a club having left Tottenham at the end of last season – is understood to be another option for the Italians.
