Inter Milan agree Romelu Lukaku transfer, medical on Thursday – Di Marzio

Romelu Lukaku set for Serie A

Inter Milan have agreed a deal with Manchester United for striker Romelu Lukaku, with the Belgian set to have his medical on Thursday.

It’s safe to say that Lukaku’s Manchester United career didn’t exactly go as planned.

Joining with huge expectations following his stint at Everton, Lukaku did perform well for a while.

However, he was unable to recreate the top-tier form he had shown during his time on Merseyside on a consistent basis.

Last season, Lukaku scored 15 goals in 45 games.

While that’s solid for any old striker, it’s not too impressive for one at Manchester United, and one who cost big money.

Now, Lukaku is set for a new chapter in his career, after Inter Milan agreed a deal with Manchester United.

Deal agreed, medical booked

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, an agreement has been reached between Inter Milan and Man United.

He claims: ‘Agreement reached between Inter and Manchester United for Lukaku, verbal agreement between the two companies with the Nerazzurri who now await the documents to be signed to close the operation.’

His report goes on to explain the fine details of the deal.

It’s said that Inter Milan will pay ‘65 million euros as a fixed part, plus a series of easily reachable bonuses for a total of 13 million.’

There will also be a ‘percentage of future resale.’

Now that a deal has been agreed, Lukaku will travel to Italy, and has a medical booked for Thursday in Milan.

Man United reject Everton’s bid for Chris Smalling & Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi price-tag
