Insight provided into touchline row as Coleman intervenes between Jurgen Klopp & Duncan Ferguson

An insight into the content of the altercation between Jurgen Klopp and Duncan Ferguson, during this evening’s meeting between Liverpool and Everton, has been forthcoming online.

Richarlison on target

The latest edition of the Merseyside derby is of course currently playing out at Anfield.

The clash marked a highly-anticipated one ahead of kick-off, with visitors Everton in the knowledge that they would move level with their long-time rivals in the Premier League table with a 3-point haul this evening.

And, as things stand, this is precisely what the Toffees are headed towards.

Inside three minutes, the Brazilian was slipped in behind Liverpool’s backline courtesy of a gorgeous James Rodriguez pass, with Richarlison having made no mistake with his subsequent finish, picking out the far corner of Alisson’s net in style:

Coleman forced to step in

With Everton’s early go-ahead strike having soon been followed by Jordan Henderson adding to Liverpool’s lengthy list of injury absentees, it subsequently came as little surprise to see Jurgen Klopp become increasingly heated on the touchline as the action progressed.

And, as outlined above, one particular moment, late in the first-half, saw tensions come close to boiling over.

This came after the hosts saw a penalty appeal waved away, with Klopp’s subsequent reaction having provoked laughter on the part of Everton assistant manager Duncan Ferguson.

An exchange of words between the pair followed, as Ferguson appeared to hint that Liverpool’s boss feels he is the only one entitled to make his feelings known pitch-side.

The altercation, in turn, carried beyond the half-time whistle, before Toffees captain Seamus Coleman was forced to step in, in an effort to ease the mounting tensions:
