Insight provided into Tottenham’s planned disciplinary measures for Harry Kane

An insight into Tottenham Hotspur’s plans to discipline wantaway striker Harry Kane has, on Monday evening, been forthcoming.

Kane stands firm

The latest major development on the Spurs-Kane saga was of course forthcoming earlier today.

The Englishman’s future has proven headline news across the summer to date, after Kane informed his long-time employers of his desire to move on, in search of major silverware.

Tottenham’s Premier League rivals Manchester City, in turn, have emerged as the outright front-runners for his signature, with the Sky Blues on the lookout for a replacement for Sergio Aguero.

Reports late in June even went as far as to suggest that the Etihad outfit had seen a bid of 100 million pounds rejected by Daniel Levy and co.:

This morning, though, Kane responded to Spurs’ unyielding stance, by taking matters into his own hands.

As confirmed by a host of reliable sources, the 28-year-old failed to report for his first scheduled pre-season training session on the back of the European Championships:

Punishment incoming

And, if the ensuing updates to have come to the fore in the aftermath of Kane’s latest exit push are anything to go by, then it appears that things could be set to get very messy, very quickly on the Lilywhite half of North London.

This comes with an insight into the Tottenham hierarchy’s plans to punish their star striker for his behaviour having surfaced.

The info comes courtesy of the reliable Dan Kilpatrick of the Evening Standard, who has confirmed that Spurs fully intend to slap Kane with a ‘significant’ fine, citing a breach of contract.

It is added that:

‘The final penalty is likely to be dependent on how the situation unravels, with it unclear when or whether Kane will agree to return to the club in the foreseeable future.’
