Premier League outfits Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace both suffered injury blows during the early stages of their FA Cup 3rd round clash this evening.
The two sides are currently locked in action at the Amex Stadium, with hosts Brighton coming into proceedings on the back of just 1 win from their last 11 outings across all competitions.
Crystal Palace, meanwhile, had turned their dismal start to the season on its head of late, with Roy Hodgson’s men having picked up 3 wins and 2 draws (including a hugely impressive stalemate with Manchester City) from their last 6 fixtures.

Tonight’s clash started off in exciting fashion, with both sides looking full of attacking intent.
However, a dampener was put on proceedings with just 5 minutes on the clock, as Izzy Brown and Jeffrey Schlupp came together in a whole-hearted 50-50 challenge.
The two players connected with the ball at the same exact moment, leaving both on the Amex turf in some degree of discomfort.
Both attempted to run off their respective problems, though Brown lasted less than a minute before going to ground once again and eventually being carried off the pitch by a pair of physios.
Schlupp, meanwhile, did manage to continue for a further 8 minutes, before also succumbing to his injury and limping off.
Dale Stephens has since given hosts Brighton a deserved lead, with the winners of tonight’s matchup set to face off with Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium in the next round of the FA Cup.
