Footage has emerged online over the last 24 hours of frightening attacks between supporters of AEK Athens and Ajax.

The two clubs went head to head in Greece this evening, in a Champions League Group E clash.
Eredivisie giants Ajax headed into proceedings aware that 3 points would see them guaranteed a place in the competition’s Last-16.
Hosts AEK, meanwhile, were simply playing for pride, having failed to pick up a solitary point from their opening 4 fixtures.
In the end, form and class told in Athens this evening, as Ajax emerged with a comfortable 2-0 win, courtesy of a brace from former Southampton attacker Dusan Tadic.

However, while it proved a superb evening for Ajax’s players, their travelling fans had a decidedly rougher time of things in Greece.
In a series of videos emerging online as the night has progressed, footage has shown AEK’s fans firing a number of projectiles into the away end of the Athens Olympic Stadium:

However, Ajax’s fans are not without blame themselves, with Ultras from the Dutch outfit having attacked a clubhouse containing a group of AEK supporters on the streets of Athens last night:
