Ilkay Gundogan hopeful of being back in Man City training soon
Man City’s star man set to return to training soon
Whilst his team host Everton tonight, Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan has taken to twitter to provide an update on the injury he picked up in last Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Spurs.
Already feeling much better right now after some groin problems from last weekend, but unfortunately not ready yet for tonight. I’m confident to be back in team training soon🙏🏼⚽🎱Best of luck to my teammates at Goodison Park! #CmonCity @ManCity

The German international has been in sparkling form this season, scoring 11 goals in his last 12 Premier League games and also providing two assists. His performances have made him a darling of Fantasy Football lovers where he has been racking up the points.
He was awarded the Premier League Player of the month for February and his form has eased the absence of several key players over the last few weeks.

Whilst Gundogan recovers, manager Pep Guardiola was able to welcome back two of City’s superstars as they made their returns to the first team as both Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero start the game on the bench.
De Bruyne has missed 4 weeks with a hamstring injury and Aguero has been struggled all season having recovered from Covid19 before also injuring his hamstring. The Argentinian has only made 5 appearances this season having had knee surgery in June 2020.
Both players will provide a massive boost as the club continues its assault on the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
