Hull boss Nigel Adkins has claimed his side are of course the underdogs as they go into their FA Cup tie with Chelsea, but that he thinks they can come away with a good result.
Hull are facing a tricky choice when it comes to team selection due to their injury list, but it seems that they know what will get them through to the next round – a little but of FA Cup magic and some hard work and fortune on their side.
Standard Sport report he said: “We’ve probably got 12 on the injured list.
“So, it’s a challenging scenario that we’ve got. We’ve got to play players who probably won’t last the full 90 minutes, so how can we impact with the substitutions?
“It’s a shame because we’ve been on a consistent run at the moment. Our performances have been good and you’re trying to get a run of form.
But, again, we’re going to have to change the team around again. We need a lot of magic to help us, let’s face it, because they’re an outstanding team.
“We’re going there under no illusions but it’s the FA Cup and anything’s possible.”
Michael Hector, Ola Aina and Fikayo Tomori will all be inligable to play their parent club, being three of the many players Chelsea currently have out on loan across England and of course Europe – and that will be a boost to the Blues for the tie.
Conte knows how vital the game is and has spoken about it’s importance in giving the players confidence and then contributing to them beating Barcelona as well as of course seeing the club progress in the FA Cup, which is probably the only trophy Chelsea have a chance of winning this term, baring a huge run in the Champions League.
