It’s all falling into place at Goodison Park
Everton have been handed a humongous boost this week with three injured first-team stars playing in a behind closed doors game on Thursday.
The Toffees have had a hit and miss start to the Premier League so far.
A lot of that has been down to numerous injuries and suspensions.
It started pretty well with solid results over Wolves and Southampton but injuries started taking their toll.
Summer signings Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes are yet to feature for the club due to injury and James McCarthy has been out for a while following a broken leg.
There have been other problems in the squad including injuries for Theo Walcott, Seamus Coleman and a three-game suspension for Richarlison.
Though, things are starting to look up now.
A side on the up
Not only are the Toffees hitting form on the pitch, they have also received a boost off it.
That is because all of Andre Gomes, Yerry Mina and James McCarthy featured in a behind closed doors game today.
Everton confirmed the news on social media, explaining that the three completed played a full part in a game upon their return from injury.
That could see all three train during the international break with the chance of playing in their next Premier League game against Crystal Palace.
Andre Gomes would be a welcome addition to Everton’s midfield while Mina could help a side that has only claimed one clean sheet this season.
Safe to say, it’s all looking up for Toffees fans now.
Theo Walcott is also echoing the thought that Everton are hitting form at a vital time.
He has claimed that Marco Silva’s side are ‘on the way up’ after results against Fulham and Leicester.
