Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is so close to moving to Real Madrid that Sergio Ramos has been told to look for houses to ease his transition.
The Blues goalie knows the area well having lived there when he played for Atletico Madrid, and it seems that after his comments over about his kids and wanting to be with them, not to mention Real Madrid president Florentino Perez finally deciding to give up on David De Gea, the Express think Ramos will be the one assigned to getting Courtois to Madrid.
He of course said: “My personal situation is related to the city of Madrid, it’s known.
“My two children live there with their mom. I have my daughter every day on Facetime. She often tells me that I miss her. My son is still too small to communicate like that.
“Whenever I have the opportunity, I try to make a return trip to Spain. As a situation, it is not always easy. Yes, my heart is in Madrid. It is logical and understandable.”
The other player Real Madrid have their eye on is of course Eden Hazard, who they’re thought to be keen on as well – and it could well work out that a double bid for the pair is placed by Chelsea, with the duo talking about their possible contract extensions with the club as a pair – and this could certainly derail that.
There’s also the growing sense that Chelsea’s top players are unhappy at the club and if they miss out on the Champions League, it would be even more ammunition for the duo to complete a move to Real Madrid, and the Spanish side look more than willing to test Chelsea’s resolve in order to fix their failings in the squad, which have become evident this season.
