Huddersfield’s Jonas Lössl made an insane double save vs Stoke
Huddersfield Town vs Stoke City
Most people had Huddersfield Town as dead-certs for Premier League relegation at the start of the season.
But as 2018 swings into view, not only are Huddersfield giving the English top flight a good go. There are comfortably in mid-table, and looking in great shape to defy the naysayers.
Prior to Boxing Day the Terriers had recorded two excellent away results.
They followed up a 4-1 away win at Watford with a 1-1 draw at Southampton.
Stoke City arrived to the Kirklees Stadium on Tuesday, and Huddersfield took the lead in the first half with a goal from Tom Ince.

But the main talking point of the first half was an incredible Jonas Lössl double save to deny the Potters.
Stoke have the worst away record in the Premier League. They’ve only picked up five points on the road (a league low) while they’ve conceded 21 goals away from home (a league high).
The Potters’ problems were compounded by Lössl’s heroics.
The 28-year-old Danish stopper made two brilliant saves to repel shots from Ryan Shawcross and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in quick succession.
Lössl then rode his luck as Stoke hit the post as they failed to get the ball over the line.
