“Home we smash them”: Evra reveals pre-Atletico Ronaldo messages

Ronaldo confident as always

Patrice Evra has released his conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo before Juventus’ incredible comeback victory over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

Juventus were 2-0 down in the first leg thanks to goals from Jose Maria Gimenez and Diego Godin.

Diego Simeone also caught the headlines after his incredible cojones celebration.

Then, Ronaldo trolled Atletico Madrid of their lack of Champions League trophies which caused a bit of a storm.

That meant that the second leg was set up nicely and it certainly lived up to expectations.

Ronaldo, as always, caught the headlines as he scored an incredible hat-trick to send Juventus through to the next round.

Though, he’s been in the news again on Thursday afternoon.

“Home we smash them”

That is because Patrice Evra has released his conversation with Ronaldo following the first leg.

Evra and Ronaldo go way back from their time at Manchester United together and Patrice has always been vocal of his support of the former Real Madrid man.

Evra also played for Juventus not too long ago and celebrated their win over Atletico in style.

However, it was his texts with Ronaldo which caught the eye.

Evra messaged Ronaldo telling him that he’s counting on the Juventus star to turn it around in the second leg.

Ronaldo then responds by claiming ‘I know. We gonna pass bro. Home we smash them’.

Safe to say, he was confident of an incredible comeback and he wasn’t wrong in the end!
