Highlights: When Adama Traore lit up Barcelona vs Real Madrid at youth level

A lengthy sequence of footage, showcasing Adama Traore lighting up fixtures between Barcelona and Real Madrid at youth level, has come to the fore on Saturday evening.

The highlights in question of course come with the latest edition of one of world football's fiercest rivalries - El Clasico - set to play out in less than 24 hours' time.

Traore, for his part, is expected to play a prominent role in proceedings, potentially from the off on the right of Xavi Hernandez's attacking trident.

And, if the former Wolves man does ultimately go on to tear up the flanks at the Bernabeu, then it will mark far from the first occasion on which he has done so in a meeting between Spanish football's two biggest clubs.

This comes with Traore, before departing for England back in 2015, having made his way through the famed La Masia setup in Catalunya.

As showcased below, the explosive attacker was not shy at all in taking the game firmly to Real Madrid's backline during the early days of his career, with footage of Traore both finding the net and teeing up his Barcelona teammates having been unveiled by none other than the Blaugrana on Saturday:

Traore, of course, has enjoyed an altogether positive start to life back at the Camp Nou since reuniting with his former employers during the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old has already established himself as an important member of new boss Xavi's frontline, with his pace and directness having added something of a new dimension to what over the opening half of the campaign often looked an uninspired attacking setup in the Catalan capital.

Crucially, Traore has even managed to rectify, to at least some degree, a long-maligned element of his game, in the form of finished product.

In fact, across his first five appearances back in Barcelona colours, the Spanish international racked up a head-turning four assists, four more than he managed across the entire opening half of the campaign with Wolves.
