Highlights: Balogun on target & brilliant Salah nets again as Arsenal U23s put four past Leeds

Footage of Arsenal’s U23 outfit putting a quartet of goals past Leeds United has come to the fore online on Monday.

Balogun amongst the goals

The Gunners’ latest crop of up-and-coming talent returned to action this past weekend.

On the back of a fine start to the season, Kevin Betsy’s men made the trip to Elland Road, for a meeting with Leeds United.

Ahead of kick-off, Arsenal were no doubt aware that a 3-point haul would guide them to the summit of the Premier League 2 table, owing to seven wins from their opening ten outings of the term.

And, when all was said and done, secure table-topping status is precisely what the visitors managed.

A frenetic 90 minutes, during which Leeds twice took the lead, eventually culminated in Arsenal emerging on the right side of a 4-2 scoreline.

First on target was midfield sensation Salah Oulad M’Hand, continuing a fine recent stretch of form with his latest composed strike from outside the area.

Next up came highly-regarded hitman Mika Biereth, who pulled the Gunners on level terms just beyond the interval. First-team regular Folarin Balogun then turned the clash firmly on its head ten minutes later, courtesy of a typically composed finish from the penalty spot.

And the points were sewn up inside the closing five minutes in west Yorkshire, as a wonderful team move eventually saw that man Balogun pull back for the arriving Joel Lopez to slot home from close range.
