Eye on the prize
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has instructed his team of scouts to watch one particular player during Arsenal’s European clash with Red Star Belgrade.
That player comes in the form of former Juventus striker Richmond Boakye who will likely be in action for Red Star.
The Ghanian striker was at Juventus when Antonio Conte was the manager and he has clearly seen something that impressed him.
Boakye has scored 14 league goals in 13 appearances since joining Red Star on loan last January.
Conte now sees the player as someone who can add to Chelsea’s attacking options with only Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi as his current options.
Reports state that Conte has actually been tracking the player for five years now bar the brief spell the player had with Juventus.
Spanish forward Morata has been out recently through injury but returned to the side against Roma on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, Batshuayi has struggled to impose himself on the squad bar his goal against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
With that exposing a real lack of depth in the striking department, it is likely that Chelsea will move for a striker whoever that may be.
That also means that a move for Boakye could almost be inevitable and a big performance against Arsenal this evening could well seal a move.

Matic trolls Conte
While Conte is looking to sign one of his former players, another play has been trolling him today.
That player comes in the form of now Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic.
Following a small war of words between the two managers, Matic has trolled his old boss.
