Mkhitaryan doubt for derby?
It has been reported by many that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be a doubt for the Manchester derby next weekend after sustaining a thigh injury that could take around 10 days to heal.
Mkhitaryan picked up the knock in an off-the-ball collision with Marek Suchy during the first half of Armenia’s friendly with the Czech Republic on Wednesday.
The Armenian FA have ruled Mkhitaryan out of their game against Denmark on Sunday and tests results are apparently ‘not encouraging’ at this stage.
However, Mkhitaryan seemed quite positive in his latest Facebook post.
Mkhitaryan positive over injury
The 27-year-old midfielder, who is yet to start a Premier League game under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, today posted a status update on Facebook which was seemed very encouraging to Red Devil fans.
The Armenian international thanked his fans from around the world for their support and also stated that he is back in Manchester for treatment in order to be fit as soon as possible.
He then went on to wish Armenia well in their upcoming fixture against Denmark and tell his side what he expects to see from them on Sunday night.
