Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has this afternoon taken aim at Watford’s Troy Deeney, after the Gunners put the Hornets to the sword by 3 goals to nil.
The two sides went head to head at the Emirates in today’s early kick-off, with Arsenal desperate to build on their morale-boosting 2-0 victory over AC Milan on Thursday night.
Watford, meanwhile, had picked up 2 wins on the bounce in their last 2 league outings, lifting Javi Gracia’s side back into the top half of the Premier League table.
Arsenal rested both Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny for their Europa League return clash with AC Milan in London next week, meaning there were rare starts for both Mohamed Elneny and Rob Holding:

A relatively comfortable afternoon’s work for hosts Arsenal saw the North Londoners emerge with a 3-0 victory, courtesy of goals from Shkodran Mustafi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The task of the Gunners could have been made markedly more difficult in the 62nd minute, though, when Watford were awarded a penalty, just 3 minutes after Aubameyang had doubled the home side’s lead.
However, the subsequent spot-kick was missed by Troy Deeney, who’s disappointing effort down the middle was parried by Petr Cech.
Deeney’s miss coming at such a crucial point during the clash made Arsenal’s victory extra sweet for both fans and players of the club, after the oft-controversial Hornets’ striker’s ‘cojones’ jab at the Gunners in October of last year.
However, Cech’s penalty save was perhaps more special for Hector Bellerin than any other Arsenal player, after Deeney insinuated that the Spaniard’s long hair had impaired his vision of a crucial penalty incident between the sides during their last meeting.
And this was a jab that Bellerin was keen to bring back up this afternoon, in the aftermath of his side’s win:
