Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard this evening produced a touch of class after being handed the man of the match award following his side’s 3-1 victory over Huddersfield.
Antonio Conte’s men travelled to the Kirklees Stadium on the back of an abysmal showing at West Ham on Saturday, which culminated in a shock 1-0 loss for the Premier League champions.
Huddersfield, meanwhile, bounced back from 4 consecutive defeats with a morale-boosting 2-0 victory over Brighton.
As announced by Antonio Conte last night, Chelsea were without the services of first-choice centre-forward Alvaro Morata this evening, with Eden Hazard, Pedro and Willian chosen in an attacking trident to pick up the slack left by the Spaniard.

Huddersfield, meanwhile, made just one change to the side which dispatched of Brighton at the weekend, with Danny Williams coming in for Collin Quaner.

Comfortable evening’s work
Unsurprisingly, it was visitors Chelsea who came out of the blocks on the front foot this evening, looking composed in possession and under little pressure at the back.
And their dominance paid off with 23 minutes on the clock, as Terriers goalkeeper Jonas Lössl’s slip allowed Eden Hazard’s gorgeous flick onto the bursting Willian, with the Brazilian in-turn slipping through Tiemoue Bakayoko for a dink over the onrushing Lössl.
The away side made it 2 just before the interval, after Marcos Alonso’s pinpoint cross was brilliantly headed home by the heavily-involved Willian.
And any hope that the hosts had of staging a comeback was extinguished just 5 minutes after the break, after Pedro finished brilliantly from the edge of the Huddersfield box.
The Terriers did manage to pull one back in injury-time through Laurent Depoitre, but it was scant consolation in an utterly dominant showing from Chelsea.
Touch of class
Following the clash, Blues pair Eden Hazard and Willian discussed the result with BT Sport, with the interviewer having handed the man of the match award to Willian to pass over to Hazard.
However, Hazard had other ideas, clearly feeling as though his Brazilian teammate, who was directly involved in all 3 of Chelsea’s goals, was more deserving of the accolade, with the Belgian brilliantly taking matters into his own hands as a result:
