Has a Wolves teammate dropped a hint that Raul Jimenez won’t be starting vs Leeds?

An interesting development on the Fantasy Premier League front on Friday evening has given rise to suggestions that Raul Jimenez may not be afforded a starting berth in tomorrow’s clash between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United.

Leeds test

Bruno Lage’s men are of course set to return to action in a little under 24 hours’ time.

On the back of a scintillating stretch of recent form, which has seen them put a shaky opening to the campaign firmly behind them, Wolves will make the trip to Elland Road, for a Premier League showdown with Leeds.

The Molineux club will no doubt head into the clash confident in their chances of making it five wins from their last six, with Leeds, much to the dismay of the Whites fanbase, in the midst of a nightmare 2nd season back in the top-flight.

Marcelo Bielsa and co. have pieced together just a solitary victory to this point, leaving the Peacocks hovering precariously above the drop zone as things stand.

Jimenez to miss out?

In turn, it goes without saying that Wolves’ in-form frontline will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing off against a backline which has already shipped 15 goals across eight fixtures this season.

Widely expected to lead the line for Lage’s men on Saturday, meanwhile, was Raul Jimenez.

Mexican hitman Jimenez managed just three minutes off the bench last weekend, owing to a late return from international duty.

As outlined above, though, if the latest word spreading across the Fantasy Football community on Friday is anything to go by, then Wolves’ main man could yet be forced to make do with a 2nd successive outing amongst the substitutes.

This comes after teammate Fabio Silva, a striker himself, opted to transfer himself into his Fantasy Premier League XI.

The logical takeaway from such a move would of course be that Silva is expecting to start versus Leeds, potentially relegating the aforementioned Jimenez to the bench.
