Spurs celebrate point at Real Madrid

Harry Winks on what’s missing at Tottenham & Harry Kane’s future

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks today discussed life at the club, what he feels is needed for the North Londoners to finally clinch major silverware, and the future of star man Harry Kane.

Moving closer

Spurs have endured an encouraging albeit slightly-disappointing campaign once again to this point, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men having showcased their unquestionable abilities during countless Premier League outings, and in Champions League fixtures versus the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus.

However, despite their evident brilliance and the presence of the likes of Mousa Dembele, Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen and Harry Kane in their ranks, Tottenham have yet to kick on to that ‘next level’, in which the capital outfit begin to turn their potential into trophies.

Missing ingredient

Nevertheless, many have expressed their opinions this season that, if Tottenham can keep the core of their current squad intact, and add further top-level experience to their ranks this summer, that the Londoners will soon begin to add to the club’s trophy cabinet.

One individual who is certainly of this opinion is Spurs’ midfielder Harry Winks, who, during an interview with beIN Sports earlier today, was questioned on what he feels as though is missing from Pochettino’s current squad, as well as discussing the club’s new stadium (currently under construction ahead of next season) and playing at Wembley:

‘The best’

Winks also went on to explain that he feels as though teammate Harry Kane is the best out-and-out no. 9 in world football, and revealed his opinion that the prolific hitman has no plans to leave the club any time soon:
