David Silva Man city

Pep Guardiola’s David Silva update before Bournemouth

Man City vs Bournemouth

How many will it be?

Bournemouth could find themselves on the receiving end of a whooping this weekend at Man City.

With a record of 16 wins on the bounce, Man City are steamrolling the competition in this season’s Premier League.

So how can Bournemouth stop them? Not only are the Cherries on the slide, but they head to the Etihad stadium with big injury concerns.

Josh King, Harry Arter, Charlie Daniels and Jermain Defoe are all injured.

David Silva & Man City

Last weekend against Tottenham, David Silva was a surprise omission from the Man City XI.

The club have been very quiet on what’s going on with Silva, only revealing the midfielder had left the squad for “personal reasons”.

Earlier in the week Spanish daily Super Deporte confirmed Silva is now spending time in Valencia.

Super Deporte remained highly respectful of Silva’s privacy. They didn’t go into the specific reasons why the Spanish international is back in the country, save for reporting Silva is dealing with a “serious family issue”.

Pep Guardiola on David Silva

On Friday Man City boss Pep Guardiola faced the press before the Bournemouth game.

Guardiola was asked whether David Silva will be available for selection.

There has yet to be any confirmation that Silva has returned to Manchester.

The City boss failed to rule out Silva’s participation completely. Instead he answered “I don’t know, I don’t know”.

Nevertheless, there is no reason to believe Silva will be in the City squad for the Bournemouth game.

It seems clear Silva is dealing with issues that are far more important than football right now.
