Alan Pardew

Everyone saw what Grzegorz Krychowiak did to Alan Pardew vs Leicester

West Brom 1 – Leicester 4

It’s still not mathematically confirmed but West Brom are down.

That seems certain following Saturday’s 4-1 home defeat to Leicester City. A defeat which started with a fine goal from Salomon Rondon to fire the Baggies ahead.

How about that for a start then Oli!

But Leicester levelled with a brilliant goal. Riyad Mahrez’s ball over the top was volleyed home by Jamie Vardy.

Mahrez put Leicester ahead after the hour mark, before Kelechi Iheanacho killed off the contest.

Vicente Iborra scored a fourth for the Foxes in injury time.

Grzegorz Krychowiak vs Alan Pardew

One of the bog talking points at the Hawthorns on Saturday was Alan Pardew’s decision to sub  Grzegorz Krychowiak out the game.

When Krychowiak signed on loan from PSG last summer, many were full of hope about what the Pole could bring.

Many will now conclude Krychowiak never met expectations, however against Leicester he was working hard in the middle of the park.

Yet Pardew gave him the hook on the hour mark – a decision which many observers questioned.

Krychowiak was clearly annoyed with Pardew for his decision. As the Pole left the pitch he snubbed shaking his manager’s hand as he went to the bench.

After the game Pardew laid into Krychowiak for his behaviour. As reported in the Express and Star, Pardew said:

I do have a problem with it because I’ve supported him and played him and stuck by him when he’s not been particularly great.

And to come off and not shake my hand. I made it very clear to him on the bench I’m not accepting that, I think it’s wrong.

He’s a player on loan who should show respect. I’m not going to make a big deal about it. I made it clear to him and I don’t expect to see it again.
