Good for Swansea: Liverpool confirm bad Jordan Henderson news

Arsenal 3 – Liverpool 3

Yet again this season Liverpool let a significant lead slip on Friday night at Arsenal.

Liverpool were cruising to three important Premier League points at the Emirates Stadium. Early in the second the Reds were 2-up after goals from Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah.

But then the Liverpool implosion – as seen against Sevilla – happened again.

Arsenal scored three times in five minutes to turn the match on it’s head.

Joe Gomez was beaten by Alexis Sanchez. Simon Mignolet allowed Granit Xhaka’s long range effort fly threw his hands. Mesut Ozil’s neat dinked finish completed the comeback.

Liverpool eventually salvaged a point through Roberto Firmino.

Bad Jordan Henderson news

Liverpool lost midfielder Jordan Henderson early in the match against Arsenal.

Henderson went down inside ten minute while holding his hamstring. James Milner replaced him in the 13th minute.

On Saturday Liverpool have confirmed bad news for the England international. Jurgen Klopp said:

The problem is that Hendo will not feature for sure, he is out.

It’s unclear how long Henderson will be sidelined for. But it would be no surprise if the midfielder missed the next three weeks of action.

Good for Swansea

That’s good news for Swansea, who face Liverpool on Boxing Day.

Swansea are bottom of the Premier League after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace. Without a manager in place, the Welsh side will take anything they can get at the moment.

Henderson is also likely to miss matches against Leicester, Burnley and Everton in the next few weeks.

He could make his return for the match against Man City at Anfield on January 14.
