Real Madrid transfer
Manchester United fans will be happy to hear that Real Madrid finally look like they’re moving on from their pursuit of David De Gea. The Spanish goalkeeper has developed into one of the top goalkeepers in the world in recent years but Madrid are reluctant to spend more than €70 million on a shot-stopper, according to a report by Marca.
With two years still left on his current United deal, it would take at least that much to convince the Red Devils to sell. Despite possessing a goalkeeper of the highest class in Keylor Navas, Madrid remain on the lookout.

One player catching their eye is 22-year-old Athletic Bilbao star Kepa. The goalie’s contract expires in 2018 and Madrid are willing to pay a fee to Bilbao to secure their target. He would likely be back-up to Navas.
Another potential option for Madrid is Thibaut Courtois. The Chelsea goalkeeper would be no cheaper than De Gea but might be more compliant in orchestrating a transfer. The former Atletico star misses the Spanish capital.
Brilliant De Gea form
Jose Mourinho will be delighted with how De Gea has started the season. Rarely called upon, when action is required De Gea can be expected to produce the goods. He made crucial saves in the 4-0 win over Everton on Sunday.
That victory marked his 100th clean sheet in a United jersey. He overcame a shaky start to his United career and became a club legend. His worth has really been clear in the post-Ferguson era when his responsibility grew.
The tenure of David Moyes was marked by many negative things including a vulnerability at the back. When other players failed to maintain their previous standards, De Gea surpassed expectations of his own ability.
Three successive Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year awards were well deserved.
