Chelsea & Nemanja Matic
Man United’s ongoing attempts to sign a centre-mid this summer may have received a significant boost on Wednesday.
Jose Mourinho has been linked with a move for the Blues’ Serbian international midfielder Nemanja Matic, and the Red Devils have received a boost that the player is buyable.
Chelsea have today released their squad for their pre-season tour of Asia, and Matic has been left behind in London.
That’s a clear sign that Chelsea are happy for the midfielder to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
Two other players were noticeably left out of the squad: Kurt Zouma, who appears to on his way to Stoke, and Diego Costa, who is looking to arrange a move back to Atletico Madrid.

But will Chelsea sell?
The arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko has pushed Matic closer to the exit door, but it’s questionable whether Man United will be allowed to sign him.
Why? Because Chelsea are no longer reportedly willing to sell to Manchester United after the Red Devils hijacked their move for Romelu Lukaku.
At the same time, Marco Verratti is the latest big named midfielder who has been linked with a possible Old Trafford move.
