Chelsea have received an injury blow during their game against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup this evening with the player likely to miss the Newcastle game.
That player comes in the form of Chelsea forward Willian who has had a pretty up and down season so far.
There was a period in which the Brazilian wasn’t impressing fans in the slightest and many were calling for him to be dropped.
Though, he showed when playing with Hazard as a false nine that he could still do a big job for the side.
That has been emphasised by some of the performances he has put in over recent weeks including the game against Brighton at the weekend.
Now, it looks as though he will miss the clubs game with Newcastle on Sunday after he had to go off with a hamstring injury.
The forward pulled up with the injury and it was quickly made clear he would be unable to continue.
The first signs looked bad but the latest indications suggest that it could be less sinister than first thought.
Those indications confirm that the player has suffered a ‘slight’ hamstring injury which could range anywhere from a week to a month.
Antonio Conte and Chelsea fans will certainly be hoping that the injury is on the shorter side.
Ross Barkley replaced Willian to come on for his Chelsea debut having moved from Everton in a £15million deal.
