Man United & Champions League
Jose Mourinho will be looking to extend Man United’s winning streak to five matches on Wednesday.
The Red Devils travel to Russia in midweek to take on CSKA Moscow.
On Saturday, United warmed up for the Champions League match with a 1-0 away win at Southampton.
Romelu Lukaku scored the only goal of the game at St Mary’s. The Belgian striker now has eight goals in eight games since his summer move from Everton.
Man United began their Champions League campaign with a routine 3-0 win over Basel at Old Trafford.
As for CSKA Moscow, they pulled off arguably the result of round one of the competition, winning 2-1 away at Benfica.
CSKA Moscow’s Mario Fernandes is out
Last weekend CSKA drew 0-0 away at Dinamo Moscow.
Aside from dropping two points in the title race, CSKA lost their best player in the game.
Defender Mario Fernandes was withdrawn in the first half of the game with a head injury. He needed a stretcher to exit the pitch.

CSKA haven’t won either of their last two matches, however they are third in the Russian Premier League.
