Man United star injured

Jose Mourinho will be fuming and concerned.

Manchester United appeared to lose a key player on Saturday during the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

After seven rounds of the new Premier League season, Man United are joint top of the league with City.

However, when the league restarts, Man United will face their toughest test of the season so far when they travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool.

Man United already had a long list of injury issues before the Liverpool game, and now it looks like it’s got longer.

Marouane Fellaini gets hurt

Belgium took on Bosnia on Saturday.

The Red Devils were forced into an early change in the first half when Man United star Marouane Fellaini picked up an injury.

Fellaini, who scored twice for Man United against Crystal Palace last time out, suffered a left knee injury against Bosnia. He was subbed off the picth in the 29th minute.

Will that keep him out of action for the Liverpool game?

Man United’s other problems v Liverpool

Paul Pogba will still be out of action by the time the Liverpool match comes around.

The French international is out with a thigh injury.

United fans will also be sweating over the health of Phil Jones. That’s after the defender pulled out of the England squad.

Michael Carrick is also an injury concern for Jose Mourinho, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo remain long term absentees.

As for Liverpool, they have a handful of worries too. Dejan Lovren has a lower back injury, while right-back Nathaniel Clyne is on the comeback trail from a similiar injury.

Adam Lallana is also out of contention due to a thigh injury.
