Good for Crystal Palace: West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic injury update

West Ham 3 – Cardiff 1

West Ham beat Cardiff 3-1 at the London Stadium on Tuesday night in the Premier League.

The result lifted the Hammers up to 12th in the division.

West Ham’s unlikely hero was former Arsenal striker Lucas Perez.

Perez came off the bench to score twice against Cardiff.

The Spanish striker also swung in a corner which Michail Antonio headed home.

Marko Arnautovic injury update before Crystal Palace

Perez only came on the pitch after Austrian star Marko Arnautovic was forced off in the first half.

Arnautovic was forced to leave the Cardiff game in the 40th minute.

Next up for West Ham, who have won two games on the bounce, is a home match against Crystal Palace next Saturday.

Will Arnautovic be fit for the Crystal Palace game?

Manuel Pellergini left fans fearing that Arnautovic will be out of action this weekend.

Arnautovic suffered a hamstring injury against Cardiff. While West Ham are set to assess Arnautovic on Wednesday, the fear is the forward may now be sidelined for a week or so.

Jack Wilshere injury update

There was no place for Jack Wilshere in the West Ham squad against Cardiff.

Wilshere has recently returned to training for the Irons. So what’s happened?

Pellergini claimed the midfielder has “a small problem” after the Cardiff game.
