Chelsea vs Manchester United
Chelsea are Europa League action today when they take on Malmo in Sweden in the round of 32.
The Blues are looking for a far better away performance than they’ve shown in their last two away days in the league.
Chelsea recently lost 4-0 away at Bournemouth, while last weekend they were battered 6-0 at Man City.
After Malmo, Chelsea return to Premier League action on Monday night when they host Man United.
Man United are currently fourth in the league. United are a point above Chelsea, who are sixth in the table.
Alexis Sanchez hurt in ‘freak’ accident
As confirmed by the Daily Mail, Alexis Sanchez may be unavailable for Man United at Chelsea.
That’s after Sanchez picked up a “freak” injury during the Champions League tie with PSG on Tuesday night. Readers are told:
Alexis Sanchez was injured in a freak incident during Manchester United’s defeat by Paris Saint-Germain – colliding with a linesman while he was warming up.
Chile star Sanchez is now battling to be fit for Monday’s FA Cup tie against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
So what actually happened?
It’s claimed that Alexis ran into the linesman after being distracted by the match while limbering up.
The collision floored Sanchez who recovered sufficiently to replace Lingard moments before half-time, but he informed United’s coaching staff that he had suffered a leg injury above the knee.
For the record, Sanchez completed the match against PSG, although the Chilean failed to impress in the 2-0 defeat.
Sanchez & the linesman just collided. I really hope that was caught on camera

Jesse Lingard & Anthony Martial

Both Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial were forced off in the Champions League match with injuries.
It’s unclear whether Lingard and Martial will be fit for Chelsea.
