Good for Arsenal: Ever Banega deal moves closer

New players

Arsenal are moving closer to signing Ever Banega according to reports on Sky Sports, with Unai Emery keen to add players to his squad and move forward this summer.

The midfielder is someone who has long been linked with the Premier League, and it seems a case of agreeing a fee for the player – who is one of the top targets for Arsenal and Emery this summer.

Banega might be moving closer to his move but Petr Cech will not be going to Napoli after failing to be convinced over his role with the club – and will remain at Arsenal unless a suitable alternative arises.

One player who will be leaving the club this summer is Jack Wilshere, who made it clear he was unwilling to stay at the north London side in a reduced role.

He took to social media to note that it wasn’t an issue that the Gunners were only willing to pay him a reduced rate to stay – but that talks with manager Unai Emery did not go well – and that the new manager made it clear he didn’t see Wilshere as someone who would be starting week in, week out.

That’s something Wilshere needs to have at this stage in his career, and the player himself wants to move to a club who see him as a fist choice, not a back-up option.
