Good for Chelsea: Alvaro Morata posts positive injury hint

Short lay-off?

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata may well have dropped a big hint on how serious his injury is on social media this afternoon.

The Spanish striker was withdrawn from the Manchester City loss what looked to be a hamstring injury forced him off.

Michy Batshuayi is set to be the man to replace him and actually scored the winner in Madrid to give the London side all three points.

Though, Chelsea fans will have been very worried following the injury after Morata’s fine form for the club so far this season.

The Spaniard has scored seven goals so far this season and is up there with Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane in the goalscoring charts.

Now, the player is set to miss out on several games for the blues which could give his two competitors a head start.

Though, good news for Chelsea fans today as Morata’s injury does not seem as bad as first thought.

That is because the player posted a picture of himself in training but on the bicycle equipment instead.

If the injury was as serious as some first thought, that would certainly not be possible so soon after the injury.

One note to take from the image as well is that the player has clearly not jetted off for international duty.

Instead, Morata is looking to work over the break to try and make it back in time for the clubs next fixture.

That game comes against Crystal Palace on the 14th October.
