Italian outfit AS Roma have this evening revealed both good and bad news on the injury front, ahead of their Champions League quarter-final second-leg clash with Barcelona tomorrow night.
The two sides are set to meet at Roma’s Stadio Olimpico, after Barca picked up a hugely flattering 4-1 win in the tie’s first-leg at the Camp Nou last week.
A pair of own goals from Daniele De Rossi and Kostas Manolas saw Barca take a 2-0 lead early in the second-half, before Gerard Pique added his side’s third just before the hour mark.
Edin Dzeko did manage to pull one back for the visitors, but Luis Suarez put the Blaugrana firmly out of sight on the night with his side’s fourth just 3 minutes from full-time.
Roma, though, will likely maintain the slightest glimmer of hope heading into tomorrow’s second-leg, after their impressive performance in Catalunya only saw the result exaggerated by a couple of lapses in defensive concentration and some extremely questionable refereeing decisions.
Any hopes that the Giallorossi have of causing an upset at the Olimpico have this evening been dealt a boost, with the news that Turkish sensation Cengiz Under has returned to the club’s squad, after missing last week’s first-leg through injury.
However, fellow winger Diego Perotti, who proved so influential at the Camp Nou, is set to miss out with an injury of his own.
Roma squad to face Barcelona: Alisson, Romagnoli, Skorupski, Juan Jesus, Kolarov, Capradossi, Fazio, Florenzi, Bruno Peres, Manolas, Nainggolan, Strootman, Pellegrini, De Rossi, Gonalons, Gerson, Dzeko, Schick, Under, Defrel, El Shaarawy
