Talks continue between Chelsea and Higuain
AC Milan forward Gonzalo Higuain is set to miss the Supercoppa clash with Juventus this evening as talks continue over a deal with Chelsea.
Higuain has been a name mentioned in the press a lot over the past couple of weeks.
The player left Juventus in the summer after Cristiano Ronaldo joined the club and admitted he was forced out of the club.
He then decided to reject Maurizio Sarri and Chelsea and join AC Milan on loan.
However, despite doing pretty well early on in the season, he has struggled of late.
There have also been some issues with his loan deal.
It was reported at the end of 2018 that Milan could look to offload the player due to financial fair play restrictions.
It was then later reported that Chelsea could take over their loan deal with Juventus.
Rumours continued to circle and there were suggestions yesterday that a deal had been reached between Milan and Chelsea.
Now, there’s been another interesting development.
Higuain misses out on Supercoppa clash
That is because the Argentine will not start in Milan’s Supercoppa clash with Juventus.
It has been reported by Fabrizio Romano that the player will not start the game as talks continue with Chelsea in hope of finding an agreement.

This comes after the player was missing from squad photos earlier in the day.
While a deal may not be done just yet, it’s looking ever more likely that Higuain will be at Chelsea soon enough if reports are to be believed.

Rumours started to circulate this morning after the Argentine was ‘missing’ ahead of the game with Juventus.
The whole squad took a picture together but there was one notable omission.
Higuain was nowhere to be seen.
