Borussia Moenchengladbach’s loss is Celtic’s gain.

The Scottish champions take on the Bundesliga outfit at home on Wednesday night in the Champions League, and Brendan Rodgers’s side have received a boost ahead of the game.

Galdbach have confirmed they are missing three top stars for their trip to Scotland.

Former Chelsea attacking midfielder Thorgan Hazard is out.

Current Chelsea loanee Andreas Christianse – who won the club’s player of the year award ahead of Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka last season – is also out.

Completing the injured players list for Gladbach are Raffael and Fabian Johnson.

Group C after two games

Celtic go into Wednesday night’s game in third place in their group with one point from two games.

Barcelona are top with two wins and a maximum six points, an City have four points from two games, while Gladbach are pointless.
