Gini Wijnaldum’s phenomenal Dutch goalscoring exploits highlighted as Liverpool star nets latest brace
Gini Wijnaldum’s prolific form in front of goal whilst lining out for the Netherlands has this evening taken centre stage online, following his latest pair of strikes.
Oranje in control
Frank de Boer’s men are currently locked in action with Bosnia & Herzegovina.
The clash marks the country’s latest Nations League outing, ahead of Group A’s conclusion on Wednesday night.
The Netherlands headed into proceedings aware that a 3-point haul was imperative, on the back of an alarming dip in form of late.
The Dutch entered Sunday’s clash having failed to earn a win in any of their last 5 outings, the last 4 of which had come since Ronald Koeman’s departure for Barcelona, and the subsequent appointment of de Boer.
As things stand, though, a long overdue victory is exactly what the Netherlands are headed towards.
Early in the 2nd-half at the Amsterdam ArenA, the Oranje lead by two goals to nil, courtesy of a quick-fire early double.
Both goals came courtesy of Georginio Wijnaldum, who, after first slotting home from Denzel Dumfries’ low delivery from the right with just 6 minutes on the clock, was back at it a short time later, showcasing his predatory instincts with the simplest of finishes from close range:

First, it was revealed that, bizarrely, as of his 2nd of the evening versus Bosnia, the Liverpool star has been responsible for 7 of the Netherlands’ last 12 goals across all competitions:
