Gary Pallister claims Romelu Lukaku has disrespected Manchester United

Was Lukaku disrespectful?

Ex-Manchester United star Gary Pallister has claimed that striker Romelu Lukaku has disrespected the club after his comments over the international break.

The forward has struggled this season, as have the whole of Jose Mourinho’s squad.

Though, it is Lukaku who has gone seven games without a goal and struggling for confidence.

The Belgian was away with his national team throughout the week and was asked about potentially joining Juventus in the future.

He wasn’t against it and entertained the idea of a move to Serie A.

‘Why not? I hope it happens,’ he explained this week.

‘Juve have a great project in place and they just keep going.

‘Every year they try to get stronger. Without doubt they are one of the two-three best teams in Europe.’

“I’ve got a problem with that”

Now, Former Manchester United star Gary Pallister has slammed Romelu Lukaku for those comments.

He has claimed it’s disrespectful while under contract at Old Trafford.

“I think it’s disrespectful at times if you start mentioning other clubs when you’re actually contracted to the club you’re at,” he explained to 888Sport.

“If it’s in your mind I’ve got no problem with that but to put it in print I’ve got a problem with that.

“At a time when a club is under real pressure to have their leading goal-scorer say he’d like to move abroad – if that’s what he has done – is not the ideal scenario.”
