Gary Neville offers opinion on Gareth Bale to the Premier League

Bale

Gary Neville has made it clear he thinks Gareth Bale would do well if he returned to the Premier League. He also spoke about the Real Madrid star possibly coming to Manchester United, and noted that Bale could be looking to leave this summer.

There’s no doubt Bale is a top player, and despite his injury issues, he can still turn a game on it’s head in no time at all, as he showed in the Champions League final.

“I’ve got a lot of admiration for him as a player,” he told BBC Radio Manchester.

“I’d like to see Messi play for United or Ronaldo or Neymar or all these players, but the reality is they’ve got to want to come to the club.

“That’s the first question that needs to be asked.

“If he wants to come to United then absolutely, yes, because he’s a fantastic player and he is a game changer.

“For me every top club is looking for that player who is the difference, who can turn the big games.”

Zidane

Of course, with the news Real Madrid boss Zidane is set to leave the club, things could all now change for Bale.

The player himself noted the main issue was his lack of game time, and if a new manager comes in and wants to play him week in, week out, the player may well remain in the Spanish capital.

Likewise, should Cristiano Ronaldo make good on his threats to leave, that could also mean Bale stays at the club, who would be unwilling to see two of their top players leave.
