Manchester United legend Gary Neville has joked about what he will do if Chelsea beat the Old Trafford side in the FA Cup final and Liverpool win the UCL.
While Jose Mourinho’s side will probably go into the game at Wembley as favourites, there is, of course, the chance Chelsea could come out on top.
That would leave Manchester United without a trophy this season but their rivals could end their seasons in the history books.
That is because Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have stormed to the title and Liverpool could win the Champions League with one more win over Real Madrid.
‘Season from hell’
That has lead to Gary Neville explaining that it could be the ‘season from hell’ should United lose in the FA Cup final and Liverpool are crowned. European Champions.
Though, he has also joked that he will be heading for somewhere without Wi-Fi signal for a long time!
“Oh no, make no mistake about it, this could be the season from hell,” Neville explained to the Daily Mail.
“I mean, Manchester City have won the title [by 19 points], they’ve won two trophies.
“If Liverpool now win the European Cup and Chelsea beat United in the FA Cup final, to be honest, I might go travelling for a year to somewhere where there’s no Wi-Fi or phone signal.
“Actually, there might be a few million United fans joining me. What date’s the Champions League final? May 26th? We’ve all got a charter booked for the 27th of May.
“There will be a million flights booked out of Manchester to the forests of the Amazon. We’re out of here, we’re gone.”
