Gareth Bale’s five transfer options: Bayern Munich, three teams in China & swapping with Neymar at PSG

Gareth Bale after Real Madrid

Where will Gareth Bale go next?

Despite having three years to run on his Real Madrid contract, Bale has been told to leave the club by manager Zinedine Zidane.

In comments which provoked Bale’s agent to brand Zidane a “disgrace“, the Real Madrid boss this week told the press that the club are trying to sell Bale as quickly as possible.

Zidane said that the sooner Bale leaves the Santiago Bernabeu, the better.

Bale & Bayern Munich

The Times have confirmed links between Bale and Bayern Munich.

Bayern appear to be at a transition point when it comes to their wide players.

The days of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are now over at the Allianz Arena.

Could Bale be the winger to succeed them at Bayern?

In the Times, readers are told the following:

The Times understands that Bayern Munich are interested in signing Bale, who has three years left to run on his £650,000-a-week contract.

Bale & three offers from China

Could Bale end up moving to China?

According to reports, the 30-year-old Welsh attackrt has three possible offers from Asia on the table.

The Telegraph report that “Beijing Guoan want to make Gareth Bale highest-paid player in Chinese football history”.

Should Bale take this option, his reasoning would surely be financial. As explained in the Telegraph:

Guoan are not the only club interested in Bale, but they are one of the few who might be able to match or better his £600,000-a-week Real wages.

Returning to the Times, another Chinese club are thrown into the mix:

Jiangsu Suning are one of a number of Chinese clubs also considering a move for the forward, who is understood to be keeping an open mind about his next destination.

Finally, in the Daily Mail, a third Chinese Super League side are touted as a potential destination:

Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua are willing to top Bale’s wages.

Could Neymar join Real Madrid & Bale sign for PSG?

Another option which Bale could explore is the possibility of joining PSG.

The rumour doing the rounds is that PSG would consider signing Bale in a deal which would see Neymar move to Los Blancos.

The Independent have looked into the likelihood of the Bale-PSG move happening:

Key figures close to Neymar have been trying to force a sensational swap for Gareth Bale plus cash, potentially solving two of the biggest deadlocks and player controversies this summer.

What about Manchester United & Tottenham?

What seems clear is that Bale will not be joining either Man United or Tottenham this summer.

Indeed, the front page of Spanish paper AS, under their headline ‘Bale Sale’, have reported that Real Madrid have unsuccessfully offered Bale to PSG, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Tottenham.
