Premier League giants Arsenal have this afternoon confirmed that youngster Gabriel Martinelli has won the club’s Player of the Month award for October.
18-year-old attacker Martinelli made the move to the Emirates this past summer, from his home country of Brazil.
With Arsenal having also secured the high-profile additions of the likes of Dani Ceballos, Kieran Tierney and Nicolas Pepe, though, Martinelli’s arrival slipped somewhat under the radar.
The early months of the new campaign, however, have arguably seen the South American prodigy stand out as the most consistent of the Gunners’ latest batch of signings.
Despite his tender years, Martinelli already looks a genuine star in the making.
The youngster appears to possess all of the desirable traits of a modern centre-forward, combining touch, stature, poise, pace, the ability to beat opposing defenders and, perhaps most-significantly of all, a real eye for goal.
Last month, meanwhile, proved Martinelli’s most productive to date.
In 4 starts between the League Cup and Europa League, the gifted teen notched a hugely-impressive 5 goals and an assist.
This included braces versus both Standard Liege and Liverpool, the latter of which saw Martinelli draw huge praise from Reds boss Jurgen Klopp:

And, as per the aforementioned announcement this afternoon, the stellar form of Arsenal’s young attacker has today seen him rewarded.
Martinelli has been named as the north Londoners’ Player of the Month, as voted for by the club’s fans.
The former Ituano man racked up a hefty 75% ahead of the vote, ahead of Matteo Guendouzi in 2nd, and Nicolas Pepe in 3rd:
