Fulham vs Manchester United betting tips: Premier League match preview and predictions

Fulham vs Manchester United prediction: Fulham 0-3 Manchester United

Fulham are in real trouble.

There is now a sizeable gap between them and the drop zone and they need to start winning and fast.

As for Man United, Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side can’t stop winning and they’ll be confident of doing so again here.

A comfortable away win on the cards?

Fulham vs Manchester United: Who will win?

Fulham are big underdogs at 4/1 to get their fourth win of the season.

Manchester United are big odds on favourites at 8/13 to leave Craven Cottage with 3 points, as they have done on their last 3 visits.

A draw, which Ranieri would surely take now, is 3/1.

Manchester United to win and both teams to score no is 21/10.

Manchester United to win and over 2.5 goals is 11/10.

Over 2.5 goals is 4/7.

Aleksandar Mitrović has scored 40% of Fulham’s 25 goals this season, the highest % of any player. He’s 9/2 to score first and 6/4 to get his 11th of the season anytime.

Romelu Lukaku could be set for a somewhat rare start up the other end of the pitch. He’s 7/2 to score first and 23/20 to net anytime.

Both Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku to score is 4/1.

Both Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku is 9/2.

Fulham vs Manchester United: Match preview

Fulham’s position looks bleak.

Last weekend, they were beaten 2-0 at Crystal Palace; their fourth defeat in five.

That result was more frustrating as it came just days after their win over Brighton & Hove Albion .

On that occasion, they’d shown signs of life to come from 2-0 down to amazingly win 4-2.

However, there was none of that at Selhurst Park.

They remain 19th, 5 points behind Cardiff and 7 from safety.

It’s beginning to look a bit like mission impossible for Ranieri who’ll be demanding a big performance.

In December his side were beaten 4-1 at Old Trafford.

You wouldn’t bet against another big Manchester United win would you?

As for the visitors, they have finally moved out of sixth.

Last weekend, Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game as they fought hard to win 1-0 at Leicester.

That, along with Arsenal’s defeat at Manchester City, means the Red Devils are now fifth.

They’re now above sixth for the first time since the opening day of the season.

They’re just two points behind Chelsea now, one clear of Arsenal, and very much in the top 4 hunt.

Solskjær has 9 wins, 1 draw and 0 defeats to his name so far.

Nothing less than a tenth win is expected here.

Despite the fact that he’s been in charge since 14 November, Ranieri is still trying to find the right balance.

Goalkeeper Sergio Rico has let in an average of 1.875 goals per game this season, the most in the league.

At the back, Cyrus Christie was terrible last weekend at Selhurst but will retain his place as Timothy Fosu-Mensah in ineligible.

Fulham could hand two debuts to players in this match.

Håvard Nordtveit joined on loan from Hoffenheim on deadline day and could come into the back 3.

Likewise, Lazar Marković joined on a free transfer from Liverpool but he’s more likely to be on the bench.

In midfield, Calum Chambers and Jean Michaël Seri could be in for a tough afternoon.

André-Frank Zambo Anguissa remains a doubt with an ankle injury.

In attack, the two inside forward positions are very much up for grabs.

Any 2 of 7 players could start there.

André Schürrle and Ryan Babel caused Tottenham problems a few weeks ago so are likely to start again together.

They’ll be hoping to support Aleksandar Mitrović; only 6 players have more Premier League goals than the Serb.

Ryan Sessegnon, Tom Cairney and Luciano Vietto will be amongst those hoping to make an impact off the bench.

Aboubakar Kamara will not be involved though.

He was sent out on loan to Süper Lig high-fliers Yeni Malatyaspor after a fight in a yoga session at the training ground.

Can the players who are still at Fulham cause an upset?

As for Manchester United, their XI is very hard to predict.

They host Paris Saint-Germain in a heavyweight UEFA Champions League Round of 16 First leg on Tuesday so Solskjær may be tempted to rest players.

However, as he’s only been at he club for 10 games it’s hard to know.

It’s a pretty safe bet that David de Gea will be in goal though.

He’ll be looking to add to his measly 5 Premier League clean sheets this season.

At the back, Young, Lindelöf, Bailly and Shaw may well start together as they look to build up an understanding ahead of PSG.

In midfield and attack is where we could see changes.

The likes of Scott McTominay, Fred and Juan Mata could get rare starts with Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matić and Jesse Lingard candidates to be rested.

Marouane Fellaini will not be involved after he joined Chinese Super League club Shāndōng Lǔnéng Tàishān last week.

Upfront, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have both been in excellent form under this manager.

Both will surely start on Tuesday.

However, Alexis Sánchez and Romelu Lukaku could come in as Solskjær protects star strikers.

Whoever they put out, they should have enough to beat Fulham.
