Fulham vs Manchester City betting tips: Premier League match preview and predictions

Fulham vs Manchester City prediction: Fulham 0-4 Manchester City

Will Manchester City return to the top of the table?

A fortnight ago, they were not in league action which allowed Liverpool to leapfrog them to the top of the league.

However, it’s very much in their hands and you’d expect them to reclaim top spot here.

That’s because Fulham look destined for a quick return to the Championship.

They were beaten for the seventh game in a row last time out and look doomed.

Will it be a comfortable afternoon for the Citizens?

Fulham vs Manchester City: Who will win?

Fulham have only won 4 games all season and are a huge 14/1 to change that here.

A draw, which would also be very unexpected, is 7/1.

Manchester City have won their last 7 encounters with Fulham and are odds on a 1/6 to keep that run going.

Over 2.5 goals is 2/7.

Both teams to score no is 5/6.

Manchester City to win and over 2.5 goals is 4/11.

Manchester City to win and over 3.5 goals is 5/6.

Aleksandar Mitrović is Fulham’s top scorer with 10 goals this season. The Serb is 10/1 to score first and 14/5 to add to his tally.

Sergio Agüero has 28 to his name this season for Manchester City. He’s 13/5 to score first and 4/7 to score anytime.

Raheem Sterling scored 4 goals in 2 appearances for England last week. He’s 16/5 to break the deadlock and 3/4 to score anytime.

Both Raheem Sterling and Sergio Agüero to score is 2/1.

Both David Silva and Sergio Agüero to score is 7/2.

Both Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling to score is 6/1.

Fulham vs Manchester City: Match preview

Fulham are almost down.

Last time out, they put up a good fight but were beaten 2-1 at home by Man City’s title rivals Liverpool.

That’s now 7 defeats in a row and 10 defeats from 11.

The Cottagers only have 17 points from 31 games and are 13 points from safety.

Scott Parker is yet to pick up a point as manager but his matches so far have been against Chelsea, Leicester and Liverpool.

It’s unlikely he’s going to get off the mark here though.

Can Fulham pull off one of the biggest shock in Premier League history?

Man City celebrate

How many trophies will Manchester City win?

As for the visitors, they don’t just have their eyes on the prize, they have their eyes on all the prizes.

They have already won the Community Shield and the Carabao Cup, beating Chelsea at Wembley on both occasions.

Before the international break, it looked as though their hopes of a clean sweep were dying.

They found themselves 2-0 down in South Wales to Swansea in the FA Cup quarter-final.

However, late goals from Bernardo Silva, an own goal and an 88th minute header from Sergio Agüero sealed a famous comeback.

However, right now, they’re not top of the Premier League.

Nevertheless, a win here would be a seventh in a row in the Premier League and would see them leapfrog Liverpool.

For 24 hours or so at least.

Surely they’ll blow Fulham away won’t they?

Fulham team news vs Manchester City

Calum Chambers

As this is only his fourth game in charge, Scott Parker is still searching for his best XI.

Despite underwhelming performances, Sergio Rico will start in goal for the 23rd league game in a row.

In defence, Timothy Fosu-Mensah started for the first time since 5 November last time out and probably did enough to keep his place.

Also against Liverpool, Calum Chambers was moved back to centre-back.

His previous 16 appearances had been in midfield.

Denis Odoi and Håvard Nordtveit will be left out and Alfie Mawson won’t be back until next month due to a knee injury.

In midfield, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa was their man of the match against Liverpool and will retain his place.

Captain Tom Cairney and Jean Michaël Seri will make up the midfield trio.

Up front, Ryan Babel showed glimpses of his former self whilst playing for Netherlands last week.

In his last club game he became the first player to score for and against Liverpool in the Premier League since Christian Benteke two years ago.

Aleksandar Mitrović too played well on international duty but could be in for a tough afternoon here.

The likes of André Schürrle and Floyd Ayité will be left on the bench.

Can this side pull of a seemingly unthinkable result?

It seems highly unlikely.

Riyad Mahrez

As for Manchester City, this kicks off a hectic period for them.

Pep Guardiola’s side will play 9 games in the next 30 days in 3 different competitions.

Ederson will continue in goal, buoyant after winning his fourth Brazil cap last Saturday.

There will be one change to the back 4 that started at Swansea.

Oleksandr Zinchenko will replace Fabian Delph at left-back

Aymeric Laporte will be fresh after being left out of the France squad.

Benjamin Mendy could be an option off the bench though as he’s been in full training this week.

Likewise, Fernandinho could be back but he too is unlikely to be risked from the start.

İlkay Gündoğan will continue to anchor the midfield behind the two Silvas in the absence of Kevin De Bruyne.

Up front, Sergio Agüero will come back in for Gabriel Jesus.

He’s likely to be supported by Raheem Sterling, who shone on the left for England, and Riyad Mahrez.

Leroy Sané could be on he bench once more.

It really could be a question of how many for Manchester City by the Thames?
