An update on the future of Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has emerged on Friday.

Conte has spent less than a year at Tottenham, but there was some speculation, especially several months back, that the Italian could be on the move shortly, with PSG one of the sides said to be interested.

However, Spurs have since managed to secure themselves Champions League football for the 2022/23 season at the expense of north London rivals Arsenal.

And now, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Tottenham sources are still confident that Antonio Conte will continue as manager:

Romano also briefly mentions talks over transfer targets, with football.london providing a further update on this on Friday.

They report that Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are set to meet today (Friday) in Italy to discuss Tottenham's transfer plans for this summer and what next season will hold.

It is added that Conte is looking for at least six new arrivals at Spurs and for the club to bring in some more experienced names to continue to improve the team's mentality in the big moments.

Among the names linked that fit that role are Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt and Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan, both of whom would be expected to provide competition at wing-back.

Elsewhere, Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni is of interest, but it is believed the recently dethroned Serie A champions will not accept less than €60m for him.
