Bad for Man United: Fred blames Jose Mourinho for Brazil axe

Fred vs Mourinho

Fred is annoyed at Jose Mourinho.

The player has been dropped from the Brazil squad, and has hardly featured this season since moving to United.

Manchester United fans have been shocked at how little their summer signing has featured.

However, he clearly doesn’t have the trust of his manager.

Now, Fred has been speaking about his Brazil omission.

It’s not good reading for Mourinho, at a time when he’s struggling to keep his job.

Fred blamed Mourinho and noted he was ‘annoyed.’

Fred said to the Sunday Mirror: “Of course, I was annoyed, but I have to know how to deal with the sadness to be able to help me take a step forward.

“The coach (Mourinho) has chosen not to put me in the team. That’s his choice. I still do my job and I can’t let it affect my mindset, I cannot let that shake me. I have to be patient.”

Other feuds at United

Mourinho is of course fighting with other players as well.

His relationship with Paul Pogba has been much discussed.

There seems to be a thawing in his issues with Anthony Martial.

However, the players are simply not responding to Mourinho in the way he needs them to.

Given how far United are now off the top four, a loss to Arsenal would make it almost impossible for them.

That’s given Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal are all fighting for the two other top four spots, with Liverpool and Manchester United in pole position for the top two.

For United to be talking about a top four race nearly being over before the turn of the year speaks volumes, and is miles off where they want to be.
