Frank Lampard provides update on Christian Pulisic ahead of Leicester

Leicester vs Chelsea

Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off will see Chelsea travel to Leicester City.

Both clubs will begin the weekend’s action in the top-four, but both have also been somewhat inconsistent of late, Chelsea more so than Leicester.

Frank Lampard’s side have struggled to kill games off in recent weeks, and it has cost them points.

The Blues dominated a 10-man Arsenal side last week, but still emerged from the clash with just one point.

Chelsea also struggled to kill off Hull in their FA Cup clash this past weekend. But luckily for Chelsea, the Championship outfit were unable to find an equalising goal

Chelsea will kick-off at the King Power with a six-point lead over 5th place, but if they continue to perform how they have done in recent weeks, it is hard to see them maintaining that advantage.

As for Leicester, they are eight points clear of Chelsea, despite having lost two of their last three league outings.

Lampard on Pulisic

Ahead of their clash with Leicester, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has provided an update on Christian Pulisic.

The American has missed Chelsea’s last four outings through injury.

But it does sound as though there is a small chance that Pulisic could be involved over the weekend.

Lampard stated that the Leicester clash will be very tight for Pulisic, but the winter break should fall at a nice time to get the winger properly match fit:

“He is hopefully going to be training in the middle of next week.

“Leicester will be very tight, but hopefully after the break, it might fall at quite a nice time to get him properly match fit.” As quoted by Goal.
