Frank Lampard confirms N’Golo Kante set to miss Chelsea’s clash with Leicester

Leicester City vs Chelsea

Tuesday evening will see two of the Premier League’s top sides battle it out.

Leicester City will welcome Chelsea to the King Power, for what should be an entertaining affair.

The Foxes will head into the clash in fine form, having won three and drawn two of their last five league outings.

This run has seen Brendan Rodgers’ side climb up to 3rd in the Premier League table, just two points adrift of table-topping Manchester United.

As for Chelsea, they recently endured a dire run of form which saw them slip well off the pace of the top-four.

Frank Lampard’s side did get back to winning ways over the weekend with a 1-0 downing of relegation-battling Fulham.

However, they again looked less than convincing, with the Blues’ poor record in high-profile outings this season also worth taking note of.

In fact, Chelsea are yet to pick up a single league win against a ‘top six’ side this season – having lost to Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal, and drawn against Tottenham and Manchester United.

Frank Lampard on Kante

So, ahead of what is likely to prove a tough tie for the Londoners tomorrow night, Frank Lampard is no doubt keen to have as strong a squad as possible at his disposal to take on Leicester.

Chelsea, though, in fact look set to be without a key performer vs the Foxes.

N’Golo Kante missed the club’s aforementioned win over Fulham due to suspension.

And now, speaking on Monday, Lampard has confirmed that the Frenchman will miss out once again in 24 hours’ time, this time due to a hamstring issue:
