Frank De Boer leaves Ajax. So he’s going to Everton, right?

Wednesday was another crappy night for Everton.

The Toffees were beaten 3-0 away at Sunderland, as the Black Cats relegated Norwich and Newcastle from the top flight as they confirmed their survival.

At the same time, it’s also been a few extremely rough days for Ajax, after their horrible end to the 2015-16 Eredivisie season.

Having looked certain to win another Dutch championship, Ajax suffered a nightmare final day of the season as they succumbed to a shock draw which allowed PSV to come from behind to snatch the title.

Just a few days after Ajax’s failure, Frank De Boer has officially stopped as the club’s manager.

That news will no doubt filter through to Everton quickly, amid calls from the Bluenoses that manager Roberto Martinez needs to walk in the off-season.

In the past few days, De Boer has been linked with the Toffees job.

His agent, Guido Albers, has made it clear that De Boer would ben keen on being the new Everton boss, having relayed the following statement in an interview with Dutch news outlet NOS:

He’d love to join a club like Everton or Valencia. It’s all about the right philosophy.
